Who are we ?
Tierra Madre Eco Lodge was born of love at first sight. During a visit to Central America in 2008, three young people from Brussels fell head over heels in love with this little corner of paradise, and decided to settle down and share this hidden gem with visitors.
We patiently fanned our dreams into life and built our farm and our lodge with our own hands, in the traditional way.
We will welcome you into a garden of Eden coexisting symbiotically with nature.
Respect for our rich and lush environment influenced all our choices, both in terms of our building methods (we used techniques such as "torchis", or bricks made of baked earth, and exclusively local wood) down to the slightest details of the way we work each day.
The farm was built before the bungalows so we could develop organic farming and provide our guests with
fresh and healthy foods.
The non-cultivated areas of this former cattle ranch have been replanted, and nature and wild animals are already taking back their territorial rights! It is a great pleasure to see them up close at the lodge.
Our team will be pleased to welcome you soon to Tierra Madre.
